Forces of Destiny: premier date and sneakpeak!

First announced at Star Wars Celebration Orlando this year, Star Wars Forces of Destiny is a brand-new 2D animated series coming this summer.

Star Wars Forces of Destiny, a new animated micro-series celebrating some of Star Wars’ most beloved and inspirational characters, will premiere July 3 on YouTube.com/Disney, it was announced today. The highly-anticipated shorts, 2-3 minutes each, tell the untold stories that helped shape the destinies of Rey, Jyn Erso, Princess Leia, Sabine Wren, Padmé Amidala, Ahsoka Tano, and other Star Wars icons. Fans will also hear some familiar voices — Daisy Ridley (Rey), Felicity Jones (Jyn Erso), Tiya Sircar (Sabine Wren), Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano), and Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata, narrating the series) will all reprise their roles for the show.

A sneakpeak at the first 8 episode of this micro-series was released recently on StarWars.com.

    1. I’m thinking they’ll probably have Kat Taber (who voiced Padme in The Clone Wars) do it, but I would love it if Natalie Portman was able to! 😀
      Hopefully they’ll release it on DVD eventually so it’ll be more accessible to everyone.

  1. I just went on YT and watched them all… My favorite was the one with Leia and Sabine, but I loved the ones with Ahsoka! The end of “The Padawan Path” was cool… But hearing Anakin call her “Snips” hit me right in the feels. I can imagine if Sabine makes it, she and Leia are gonna be like BFFs! 😃
